Meet your candidate

Laramie has been part of my story since 1987.

Eric Henderson, candidate for Laramie City Council Ward 1

I arrived in Laramie in 1987. My work has included local media, business development and community engagement, and I serve as Director of The TALK SHOP.

Communications, budgeting, strategic planning, marketing and problem solving shape how I approach a question. On City Council, I would bring that approach to the decisions affecting Ward 1.

The questions come first

A practical standard for city decisions.

Before committing public dollars or making a major decision, I want us to work through the questions that matter to residents.

Is it necessary?

Start with the problem a city decision is meant to solve.

Is it fair?

Look at how the benefits and burdens reach people across the community.

What does it cost—and who pays?

Show the numbers and examine the commitment of public dollars.

What services will it require?

Consider streets, drainage, water and the infrastructure needed to support growth.

What does it mean for existing residents?

Consider the effects on the people who already call Laramie home.

Have we listened?

Hear from the people whose homes, neighborhoods and pocketbooks are affected.
